2 www.themegallery.com Company Logo Materials The questionnaire measured the following descriptive variables:  age  gender  license type  how long they had held a driving license  vehicle age  engine size  preferred driving speed  annual mileage  crash history over the previous five years  cell phone use while driving

3 www.themegallery.com Company Logo Participants  Participants were surveyed in the Palmerston North, Hastings, Wellington and Auckland areas.  Participants were drivers who had driven at least once in the last six months.  In total, just over 1700 questionnaires were distributed and 861 responses were received, giving a response rate of just over 50%.
