28. Dade County Science Teachers’ Association (DCSTA) 2014 Teacher of the Year Awards. Awards are designed to honor one classroom teacher in each of the following three levels of teaching: K-5, 6-8, and 9-12. Nominees must be a full-time (the majority of the day in direct instruction to students) classroom teacher and be in at least their third year of teaching. 29. FCR-STEMLearn Certificate The FCR-STEMLearn Certificate Program aims to provide professional development to approximately 1,000 teachers across the state of Florida during the summer of 2014. The PD includes an 80 hour face-to-face summer institute in Orlando with follow-up lesson study in the fall. FCR-STEM will cover the hotel and travel costs for teachers selected to attend the PD.
