The Spirit’s work is one of illumination or enlightenment, not new revelation, but the ability to grasp and to agree with Scripture as it is read, preached, and taught. The Spirit unveils the mind and attunes the heart to understand what God has revealed. The Spirit begins the process of salvation and continues his work throughout the life of the believer.
