Generally only acrylate functionality reacts, unsaturation in polybutadiene backbone normally does not react or further polymerize Molecular weight is designed to balance viscosity& acrylic reactivity with the hydrophobic/elastomeric properties of finished resin OOC is investigating other molecular weights and polymer backbones such as:

7 Polybutadiene Diacrylate (BAC-45)
BAC-45 is a specialty Oligomer that can impart both Elastomeric and Hydrophobicity into polymer systems. Molecular weight is around 3,000 and is available as a clear slightly yellow viscous liquid. Now available in commercial quantities (drums or pails) Non-hazardous, Odorless, Very low draize & TSCA listed Inhibitor level is 1,000 ppm MEHQ

8 Polybutadiene Diacrylate (BAC-45)
BAC-45 can be UV cured or conventionally cured either alone or combined with other organophilic monomers, oligomers or resins. It can replace urethane oligomers. Soluble in Hexane, Aromatic solvents, Tetrahydrofuran Insoluble in Water, Acetone and Methanol 25°C is poise Specific 20°C is gr/cc

9 Polybutadiene Diacrylate (BAC-15)
BAC-15 is a specialty Oligomer that still imparts both hydrophobic & elastomeric properties with substantially lower viscosity and molecular weight (approx. 1400) 25°C is 1, ,000 mPS Similar solubility parameters as BAC-45, Odorless Higher acrylate concentration than BAC-45 allows faster curing, higher crosslink density and a more complete cure.

10 Polyisoprene Diacrylate - PIPA
Newest development from OOC Similar in solubilities & properties as BAC-15 & BAC-45 25°C is 5, ,000 mPa Molecular Weight is approx. 2700 Not listed on TSCA
