Everyday, we act on our environment without realizing the impact that our actions will have on our entire ecosystem–all of the living and non-living things in our environment.
In today’s story, you will see the impact that even our simplest actions will have on our ecosystem.
You will be listening to “Worm’s story.” I want you to think about how intended actions of humans may lead to unintended consequences.

3. Objectives (Pg. 34 or 35)
Students will be able to list at least 10 actions on the environment made by Harriet.
Students will be able to describe the unintended consequence caused by each of Harriet’s actions.

4. Instructions
In your notebook on page 34or 35, create a T chart similar to the one to the right of this text box.
Listen to the story, record as many intended actions as possible. Then, go back and write down the unintended consequences.
