Land & WaterLand & Water San Marion is between the region of Emilia Romagna and Marche on the border of Italy. San Marino terrain is made up of rugged mountains with its highest point being Monte Titano. (749m about sea level) No prominent or significant water bodies are present within San Marino. It is the third smallest country in Europe.

San Marino has the typical Mediterranean climate: warm summers and mild winters. San Marino has many agricultural products such as: wheat, grapes, maize, olives, cattle, pigs, horses, meat and cheese. Economic SystemEconomic System The economy of San Marino relies much on tourism, transportation, banks, financial institution, and also financial services industries. They also manufacture and export many things such as: ceramics, clothing, fabrics, furniture, paints, tiles, and wine. San Marino has the lowest unemployment tax in Europe. Its economy also benefits from Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) due to its relatively low corporate taxes.

Political SystemsPolitical Systems Captains Regent are the heads of state, and of a multi-party system. Takes place in a framework of a parliamentary representative democratic republic. Executive power is exercised by the government. Legislative power is invested in both the government and the Grand and General Council. Originally, San Marino was run by the Arengo, which was made by the heads of each and every family. By the 13 th century the power was handed over to the Great and General Council. This was where Captains Regent were nominated. The first two Captains Regent was picked in 1243. This method of nomination is still in use today, as of 2007.
