ASD S3000L Logistic Support Analysis
The specification S3000L is designed to cover the activities and requirements governing the establishment of the LSA process. The concept of this specification was originated in 2006. 01/ Inaugural meeting in Brussels 03/2006 Kickoff meeting in Munich, implementation of S3000L development working group Publication of S3000L, Issue 0.1, in Brussels 10/2009 End of official commenting phase for organizations and companies 11/2009 Clarification of comments, start of incorporation of comments and of editorial team 04/2010 Finalization of issue 1.0 05/2010 “Publication” of S3000L, Issue 1.0 11/2010 Preparation of S3000L Steering Committee at S3000L working group meeting in Washington 04/2011 First official ASD/AIA S3000L Steering Committee

S3000L to S1000D Interchange Specification developed by a team of experts from S1000D and S3000L: (MTDTT = Maintenance Tasks Data Task Team, specialists from S3000L working group and S1000D TPSMG) Specification S1003X was updated after the publication of S3000L, issue 1.0 and is now finalized also with an issue 1.0 DEXs – for issue 1.0 completed in the first quarter of 2011 Data exchange specifications based on: ISO AP239 Product Life Cycle Support (PLCS) data model DEX1A&D Aerospace and defense business DEX for exchange of product breakdown for support DEX3A&D Aerospace and defense business DEX for exchange of a task specification

Actual activities: Implementation of ASD/AIA S3000L Steering Committee (this meeting) and integration in superior organizations like ASD/AIA ILS Council and ASD ILS Specification Group. Implementation of a WEB-based services for the S3000L representation like: WEB based distribution of S3000L related information WEB based distribution of specification itself (S3000L PDF, S1003X, DEX1, DEX3) WEB based change process similar to established processes of S1000D Implementation of active working groups to organize and distribute future work for specification updates and extensions Informative advertising for the specification and training of potential future users or stakeholders Initialize the planning of updated issue 1.1
