* We know what a good leader looks like * We know what it takes to be a good leader of we want to be one * We will know how to pray for our leaders

For there are many rebellious people, full of meaningless talk and deception, especially those of the circumcision group. They must be silenced, because they are disrupting whole households by teaching things they ought not to – and for the sake of dishonest gain. One of Crete’s own prophets has said ‘Cretans are always liars, evil brutes, lazy gluttons.’ Titus 1v10-12

The Christians in Crete wanted to live lives for Jesus in a world that didn’t want anything to do with him, and solution to that is, make sure you have the right leaders in place… And as Christians today we want to live lives for Jesus in a world that didn’t want anything to do with him, and solution to that is, make sure you have the right leaders in place…

* An elder must be blameless, faithful to his wife, a man whose children believe and not open to the charge of being wild and disobedient

‘If anyone does not know how to manage his own family how can he take care of God’s household’ 1 Timothy 3v5

* Since an overseer manages God’s household, he must be blameless…

* He must hold firmly to the trustworthy message as it has been taught, so that he can encourage others by sound doctrine and refute those who oppose it.

Christian ministry is simply the tracks we leave as we concentrate on following Jesus.
