Seminar on Gospel Centred Proclamation Friday afternoon 28 February 2014

What do we mean by Proclamation? Presence evangelism – “how many are helped?” Proclamation evangelism – “how many hear and understand the gospel?” Persuasion evangelism – “how many become active followers of Jesus, fully integrated into the Body of Christ?” We tend to be good at Presence and bad at relating presence evangelism to other forms of evangelism.

Keys to proclamation Receptivity to the gospel rises in direct proportion to the number of times people hear “God talk”. People hear more clearly when they are in relationships with people they trust. Hearing is a two way communication process – people need to be able to speak as well as listen.
