More Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) buses were ordered for a total of 57 Already received 18 15 additional CNG buses will be delivered for more service this Fall CNG will be 16 percent of the entire fleet o Orion- CNG buses purchased by the County will replace the oldest and most polluting diesel buses in the fleet New buses are low-floor Accessible buses that allow a driver to automatically or manually operate a wheelchair ramp that opens from the floor. No lifts are required. New buses are wide and roomy, with large, low windows Exterior of the buses are painted in the same distinctive green and yellow design of the County’s other CNG buses o First phase of the program started May 3 rd New Clarksburg service -Route #82- growing community Rush hour to/from Shady Grove Metro o Other improvements Rerouting Ride On Route 79 (Germantown Milestone to Shady Grove) through neighborhoods to the east of Maryland Route 355, including the Milestone area. Adding midday service on Route 74 (Germantown Transit Center and Washingtonian Center to the Shady Grove Metro Station). More service on Route 70 (Germantown Milestone to Bethesda) with more morning and evening rush hour buses. More service on Route 37 (Potomac to the Grosvenor Metro) and Route 36 (Potomac to the Bethesda Metro), and more Saturday service on Route 8 (Wheaton Metro Station to the Silver Spring Metro Station). Route 52 (Montgomery General Hospital to the Rockville Metro Station) now serves the Treatment Center Complex on Avery Road. Route 81 (Rockville Metro Station to the White Flint Station) will stop directly in front of the Legato building going southbound for safer pedestrian access o Second phase of Go Montgomery in September- pending bus delivery

SmarTrip ® New SmarTrip bus fareboxes scheduled to be on our buses next winter Timing - WMATA Montgomery Division will be done around Labor Day Big gap between Metrobus and Ride On installations. Will be a communication challenge for us
