8. People impact watershed in many ways. Building towns and houses alters the shape of the land and changes where the water goes. Some of our activities add pollution to the land that end up in the water. We can protect our watershed by doing thing like never leaving garbage on the ground, hiking only on trails to prevent erosion, and using less water in our homes.
