2. ISO 19115/North American Profile Activities The US and Canada continue the development of an identical content profile of ISO 19115. Committee (ANSI, CSB) Review ended March 16, 2007. Public Review scheduled for Summer 2007. US: Submission to American National Standards Institute: Fall 2007. ANSI review, vote, ?adoption.

3. Next Steps: FGDC Standards Working Group will recognize or adopt North American Profile after ANSI adoption. Clearinghouse applications already staged for ISO based metadata.

4. FGDC to ISO 19115 Crosswalk Version 4 is the most current version. Changes since V4 only in the “no-match” section. No updates to this document are planned. Crosswalk effort led to conversion tool.

5. FGDC to ISO Conversion Tool XML- conversion format. Conversion tool format: XSLT Standalone. Plans to include source code. Conversion tool to be delivered via shareware site. Available Fall 2007. Announced through FGDC.gov and FGDC Metadata Working Group.
