Youth EFNEP Filters & Subgroups Webinar Thursday, April 18 9:00-10:00 am

Important points Filters can be utilized to generate reports based on specific criteria Subgroups can only be used to generate reports if you create a subgroup filter

Types of filters Demographic filter – Build a filter based on specific demographic information entered from the About My Class enrollment form such as grade level, gender, ethnicity, delivery type, etc. Subgroup filter – Build a filter based on specific schools, locations, etc. to generate reports for students who received education at those sites

Example #1 Scenario: This program year, you have enrolled 2,000 students. Of the 2,000 students, you would like to generate a report only for those who identify as Hispanic/Latino between grades K-2.

Adding New Filters Select Filters from the Setup menu in the Youth section

Select Add Filter

Name and describe the filter

Type of filter

Set filter criteria: Hispanic Grades K-2

Save filter

Generating a Youth Summary Report Select Youth Summary from the Reports menu in the Youth section

Select filter To include all currently available data in the system, leave the begin and end dates blank

Example #2 Scenario: You just concluded administering the post-education Eat Well + Move evaluation to a second grade class. The teacher has asked you for a summary of her students’ behavior changes pre and post-nutrition education.

Adding New Subgroups Select Subgroups from the Setup menu in the Youth section

Generating reports using subgroup filters Before a report can be generated using a subgroup filter, the subgroup must first be assigned to the group or groups in which the subgroup applies
