3 2010-11 Title III Grants Applications approved: – Berkeley, Brooke, Cabell, Fayette, Greenbrier, Hancock, Hardy, Jefferson, Kanawha, Lewis, Monongalia, Monroe, Morgan, Raleigh, Roane, Tucker, Tyler, Wood Application Submitted but pending: – Hampshire, Harrison, Jackson, Lincoln, Logan, Marion, Marshall, Mason, Mercer, Mingo, Morgan, Nicholas, Ohio, Pendleton, Pocahontas, Preston, Putnam, Summers, Wayne Consortia cannot be finalized until all member counties submit

4 Title III Applications Title III application Budget review process – All Action Steps must have Budget in (Parenthesis both Federal Title III and State ESL funding) – Federal Title III Funds may not be used to pay for: administering Woodcock Munoz or WESTELL Pay the salaries/travel costs of ESL teachers (except extended learning) FINAL DATE FOR SUBMITTING – November 15, 2010 Must hit “SUBMIT” after revisions

13 WESTELL 2010-2011 Updates Shortening WESTELL Test Listening and Reading sections The number of questions will be from 50 questions to 35 questions. Writing section The number of questions will stay the same. Speaking section The number of questions will be from 16 from 12.
