Introduction This document explains the feature differences from TDE/NCP series IP-PBX Version 4.2. This document provides a summary of TDE/NCP Version 5. 5 1-1. Call Center Enhancements (1)
Call center features can be enhanced without extra applications. Maximum queuing of ICD groups is increased from 30 to 100. This system is suitable to design midsized call centers. (B) Callers can exit from ICD queuing and leave messages to KX-TVM voice mail. (C) Conversations with customers can be recorded automatically to KX-TVM voice mail. Please record your address. : :  : Recorded messages can be ed to a supervisor. PBX - BGM for ICD Group Panasonic Bank is offering good interest rates now. Because one PBX supports 10 x 3 conference hardware, a maximum of 10 calls can be recorded to VM for NCP and TDE at the same time. Because one VM supports 24ch, a maximum of 24 calls can be recorded to one VM for TDE600. Because TDE600 supports 10 x 3 conference hardware per cabinet, a maximum of 40 calls can be recorded to two or more VM for TDE600. (A) 100 callers can wait. One agent becomes idle. 8 2. Capacity Expansion (1) NCP500 expandability is increased.
From Version 5, the NCP500 and NCP1000 have the same capacity. Current NCP500 hardware with Version 5 software can support this specification. (The software must be updated.) <Maximum Capacity of NCP> Extension NCP500 Version 4 NCP500* Version 5 NCP1000 Old DPT / APT 6 / 4 10 / 4 DPT w/o DXDP 20 36** 36 DPT w/ DXDP 24 40 SLT DPT w/ DXDP + SLT 28 44 The only difference between the NCP500 and NCP1000 are the maximum number of slots. For Small-Free slots, there are 3 slots in the NCP500 and 4 slots in the NCP1000. For Regular-Free slots, there are 2 slots in the NCP500 and 3 slots in the NCP1000. * Including NCP500X/V for EU with NCS3990 Activation Key ** 2 x DLC16 or SLC16 required = Cannot use OPB3 (& Doorphone card), all slots are used by cards. NCP500 Version 5 / NCP1000 : 44 points Old PT = 4 points New DPT / SLT port = 1 point NCP500 Version 4 : 28 points (software limitation)

The cell station capacity of KX-NCP500 is also increased. Please confirm the table of specifications.

Message waiting specification is for Panasonic SLTs with message waiting. - Caller ID specification is the same as the current CSLC16 card. (*) New LCOT8+8 card (KX-TDA1180) is NOT supported by TDE

11 Chapter 3 Other Enhancements

12 3-1. SMDR Improvements Effective Emergency Alert
Version 5 supports SMDR after dialing and talking when the dialed number is assigned in the “Emergency Dial” table. (TDE-NCP Version 4 supported SMDR only after talking. ) When an emergency number is dialed from a guest room, an emergency alert is displayed on PCs installed in the front reception. This feature is for SMDR based applications such as Panasonic CA Call Accounting (free of charge). <Displayed> When there is an alert, hospitality staff can go to the guest’s room immediately < Technical Specifications > - System option programming is required. - Alert is displayed twice. - Duration is output as zero second after dialing. - Version upgrades are not required for CA Call Accounting software. Alarm tone is also available from the PC’s speaker.

13 3-2. Paging over DECT Improvement
You can easily talk in a variety of cases. Conference group call can be answered automatically without automatic answer setting for each extension. PT and DECT users can start “talking” by dialing any key during paging. < Technical Specifications> - System option programming is required. - This feature is available for PT and the following DECTs KX-TCA175 / KX-TCA275: Standard Frequency Can anybody go to room 401? Help required! DECT is very useful for hospitality staff.
