11. : Corn is the main food of most Kenyans Ugali is another common food. It is made of corn flour mixed with water. It becomes hard like break and eaten with vegetables, meat, or milk. In the country, people raise sheep, cattle, or goats Farmers grow bananas, coffee, pinapples, oranges, and sugarcane.

12. Poor towns build their own schools. They call these “harambee schools” Students help keep the school neat. They mow grass, pull weeds, and scrub walls. Some schools have dirt floors. Students sweep the dirt floors to keep them clean. The first 8 years of school are free. After that parents must pay for school. Students must wear uniforms.

13. The capital city Nairobi Rich cities build their own schools also, called “harambee schools” In the city people live in houses with cement floors. The walls are made of concrete blocks. The roofs of made of metal.
