Facts The architect of the Empire State Building is William F. Lamb. Height- 1454 feet Surface area- 87,120 feet squared Volume- 37 million cubic feet There are 6,500 windows,73 elevators, and 1,860 steps from street level to the 103 rd floor.

Scale Factor 1in = 100 ft. By using the scale factor and applying it to the scale model we were able determined the volume and surface area of the actual building. Model- Surface area- 871 in squared Volume- 370 cubic inches
