CANYON MIDDLE SCHOOL ATHLETIC PROGRAM 2013-14
Castro Valley, California
1
HOW TO DECIDE WHICH TEAM SUITS YOU:
Most sports teams at Canyon are not grade-specific (the only exception is 6th grade boys’ and girls’ basketball). Within the team setting, athletes may be asked to compete with other students of their grade or ability level. While some are gender-specific, many welcome boys and girls. Students are welcome to try out for whichever team they feel best suits their ability and participation level.
2
DO I NEED TO TRY OUT, OR DO I JUST MAKE THE TEAM?
Tryout teams include: Cheer, Softball (Fall), Football (Fall), Basketball (Winter), Soccer (Winter/Spring), Tennis A (Fall or Spring), Volleyball (Spring), Golf (Spring) Non-tryout teams include: Cross-Country (Fall), Wrestling (Winter), Tennis B (Fall or Spring), Track and Field (Spring)
