Parakaleō, a compound of para [beside] and kaleō [to call], occurring 4x, means to ask to come and be present where the speaker is, call to one’s side to urge strongly, appeal to, exhort, encourage to make a strong request for something, implore, entreat to instill someone with courage or cheer, comfort, encourage, cheer up; etc.

Paraklēsis, derived from parakaleō, occurring 3x, refers to the act of emboldening another in belief or course of action, encouragement, exhortation strong request, appeal, request lifting of another’s spirits, comfort, consolation
