CATE Changes April 2010 - REVISED1 Teamwork Work with your CATE coordinator or CATE teachers Your CATE coordinator should have information relating your district courses to the information in the TEA "Crosswalk".

CATE Changes April 2010 - REVISED2 Locate Resources  CaTE COURSES 3/31/2010 update - The TEA "Crosswalk" information and a list from TEA of the PEIMS numbers with their title by subject area called 2010-11 CTE final can be found on the NTTCA Web site at this link: http://nttca.org/teamessages.htm CaTE COURSES 3/31/2010 updatehttp://nttca.org/teamessages.htm  Another helpful tool is the PEIMS Vs MLC with Subject Areas, developed by board members of TCAT: http://nttca.org/tcatmessages.htmhttp://nttca.org/tcatmessages.htm

CATE Changes April 2010 - REVISED3 Collect the data  TEA crosswalk  Your District state charge list showing the CATE textbooks your district currently has,  Your student populations for the courses from your PEIMS Coordinator.

CATE Changes April 2010 - REVISED4 Merge the data

CATE Changes April 2010 - REVISED5 Analyze the data  Look at the total number of textbook that are now associated with the new course and compare student numbers to see if you have surplus books.  Don't order any more CATE textbooks until you understand the new rules...  If you use CEV's curriculum caddies for any of these courses, you cannot return them, so if you have a new course that merged two old courses... one using a caddy and one using a textbook, you would HAVE to return the textbook to reduce your surplus.

CATE Changes April 2010 - REVISED6 Make the decision  Meet with your CATE Coordinator and/or teachers to determine which textbook your district currently has that you want to continue to use for the new course.  You may select only one title to use  You must post the other titles as surplus  Pull the extra copies off the campuses over the summer
