What was Chernobyl? A nuclear power plant in Ukraine. April 26, 1986, It set fire. Radiation was in air. Worst nuclear disaster.

Causes Inexperienced workers Faulty Soviet reactor design All safety was ignored

Effects Radiation rised about 1 km. Radiation carried by wind. Evacuation of over 200,000 people.

Aftermath High death rate for clean up workers Thyroid cancer Infected topsoil, groundwater, and surface water

Casualties Not completely sure. Some say 4,000 Some say up to 500,000 are linked to Chernobyl.
