National Societies act as auxiliaries to the public authorities of their own countries in the humanitarian field. They provide a range of services including disaster relief, health and social programmes, and assistance to people affected by war. National Societies what they do

What is Respond for a user Respond is one of ESA’s Global Monitoring for Environment and Security (GMES) projects Respond is an alliance of European and International organisations working with the humanitarian community to improve access to maps, satellite imagery and geographic information.

Conclusion Good information as proposed by Respond allows us to offer a better, more adapted and faster response to disasters.
