4  National Societies act as auxiliaries to the public authorities of their own countries in the humanitarian field.  They provide a range of services including disaster relief, health and social programmes, and assistance to people affected by war. National Societies what they do

19 What is Respond for a user  Respond is one of ESA’s Global Monitoring for Environment and Security (GMES) projects  Respond is an alliance of European and International organisations working with the humanitarian community to improve access to maps, satellite imagery and geographic information.

29 Conclusion  Good information as proposed by Respond allows us to offer a better, more adapted and faster response to disasters.
