1 COASTALPLAINS By: Maya, Teni,Rana,and Caden, Kaley

2 THE LAND This area of land touches a huge body of water called The Gulf of Mexico. The area goes all the way to Florida. In the Coastal Plains you can play in the snow or go to the beach. More people live in the Coastal Plain then others because of precipitation and more farming. Lots of citrus trees in the area. Made up of five smaller areas, the Piney Plains, the Gulf Coast Plain, the South Texas Plain, the Post Oak Belt, and the Blackland Prarie. Padre Island that goes alongside the south Texas coast. It is 110 miles long and 3 miles wide.

3 Industries Lumber and Oil industryies are in the area. Some people grow fruits such as citrus fruits and vegetables. Others raise cattle and do farming, the area is good for ranching.

4 4 major cities Houston: is a port city it is a center for trading. It is home to the Johnson Space Center Dallas : is located in the Blackland Praire. The city began in 1841. San Antonio: people visit san Antonio to learn about Texas. Austin: is the state capital of Texas and home to many collages.

5 History Dallas is located in the Blackland Praire. The city began in 1841. Dallas was a trading post. Austin has many colleges and universities,many people who go to them have government education. John Biggers was a famous artist who lived from 1924 to 2001. In San Antonio people used to come from all around the world to learn about Texas.
