El Mandato Afirmativo Informal Informal For someone you would call “tú” or “vosotros/-as”. Informal, or familiar, speech is used among friends, coworkers, relatives, or when addressing a child.

How to ask somebody to DO something? Part I - Tú To make the affirmative informal (tú) commands is easy! All you have to do is just use third person singular form: hablar – habla! comer - come! escribir – escribe!

Let’s Practice! Habla (tú) más lentamente. Speak more slowly. Escribe (tú) la carta. Write the letter. Come (tú) la cena. Eat the dinner.

Te toca a ti! Write the following affirmative commands in the tu form : Listen! (escuchar) Eat! (comer) Pay! (pagar) Begin! (empezar) Visit! (visitar) Fly! (volar) Write! (escribir)

How to ask somebody NOT to do something? Part I - Tú The negative informal (tú) commands are formed the following way: hablar - ar + es = no hables! comer - er + as = no comas! escribir - ir + as = no escribas!

Let’s Practice! No hables más lentamente. Don't speak more slowly. No comas (tú) la cena. Don’t eat the dinner. No escribas (tú) la carta. Don’t write the letter.
