1. Cannon Reading A-Z Challenge This year at Cannon we are challenging our Kindergarten through Second grade students to explore authors from across all genres! Each student who completes the challenge will receive a certificate and a medal during a special ceremony in May. The rules are simple: The challenge is open to all K-2 students. For each letter of the alphabet read a book by an author whose last name starts with that letter; record the author’s name and the title of the book on the lines provided. Adults or siblings may read aloud to children. X is tricky so in our alphabet X stands for an eXtra book by your favorite author. All forms must be turned in by May 1st. If you need any author suggestions, please visit our school library! We encourage you to new explore from across all genres: fiction, nonfiction, graphic novels, picture books, biographies, etc!
