To be eligible you must meet the following criteria: Hold a firm offer to study at Kingston Be eligible to receive student finance Household income assessed as £25,000 or less Have not studied at university level before Neither parents hold a university-level qualification or you are a mature student The Kingston Bursary is worth £2,000 for the first year of your course. Progression scholarships of up to £1,500 will be awarded in second and third years of study dependent upon successful progression through your course and your grades.

Co-ordinate KU’s contact with schools/colleges Promote awareness of university study, raise aspirations and provide IAG for students aged 10-18 Provide curriculum support and attainment raising activities Inform key influencers- parents Offer training for school/college staff

Tim Dhir, Education Liaison Officer| 13/06/14 Outreach and Widening participation: What we do and why -Work with over 100 schools/colleges (London + S/E) -Last year worked with over 6,000 students -Educate young people about the benefits of Higher Education -Raise aspirations in pupils from underrepresented groups in HE: First in family, low household income, looked-after children, BME groups, mature students. -We aim to build confidence and work with schools to help learners achieve -Provide impartial HE advice and guidance to help those students making the progression to HE
