2 Why The War Started The first war started in October, 7 th, 2001. Due to terrorist attacks and illegal use of weapons of mass destruction including nuclear weapons.

3 Casualties In The War There has been from 150,000 to over 750,000 deaths in the war after the last four years. Iraqi deaths count up to around 350,000 with around 112,000 of those being civilian deaths.

4 Information On The Troops There were around 40,000 troops sent from 30 different countries. Approximately 8,000 of those troops were Australian troops.

5 Australia’s Involvement In 2003, March, Australia participated in the US lead coalition that invaded Iraq to locate and destroy suspected weapons of mass destruction.

6 The War’s Result Financial Support sent $1.2 billion to Iraq to help rebuild Iraq after the war. Saddam Hussein was hung on the 30 th, December, 2006. After being found guilty for crimes against humanity.
