2. Early Years  Muhammad Ali was born in January 17,1942.  Muhammad Ali grew up at Louisville, Kentucky.  His childhood was hard because he could not play with white people.  His name used to be Cassius Clay.  His family did not have a lot of money.  His mother was a maid. His dad was a painter.

3. Important Contributions  Muhammad Ali is one of the best boxers in the world.  For winning a lot of Championships.  He was brave to be in slavery.

4. Other Interesting Facts I Learned…  The Army wanted him.  He won 5 Champion belts.  He lost 2 titles.  When he versed Mike Tyson, he won.  He went to jail because he did not want to go to the Army.  He has a famous phrase that goes, “Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee.”  In the Hall of Fame, he was named one of the best boxers ever.

5. Did he die or not?  No he did not. He is 73. He suffers from injuries he got from boxing for so many years.
