Occupancy Ratio of international container terminal in Tanjung Priok have achieve optimum level in 2010 and facing congested situation in the future.
Need additional capacity to fulfill market development demand.

5. Conversion of Conventional Terminal
To increase capacity in the short term period, Pelindo will convert conventional terminal to become container terminal ;
Birai 3 –East will be converted to International Container Terminal.
Birai 3-West will be converted to Domestic Container Terminal.
Conventional Terminal/Multipurpose Internasional will be moved to Wharf , dan 101
