The Cell Cycle: Interphase, Mitosis and Cytokinesis
Plant Cell
2
Low Power (100x) You will only be observing the plant cells under high power. You want to first focus at the root tip under lower power. The purple arrow is pointing at the root tip.
3
High Power (400x) This is the root tip under high power.
4
Interphase (400x) The purple arrows are pointing at cells in Interphase. Most cells will be in Interphase
5
Prophase (400x) The purple arrow is pointing to a cell in prophase.
6
Metaphase (400x) The purple arrows are pointing at cells in Metaphase. Notice how the chromosomes are lined up across the center of the cell.
7
Metaphase (1000x) The purple arrow is pointing to a cell in

Metaphase (1000x) The purple arrow is pointing to a cell in
9
Anaphase (400x) The purple arrow is pointing at a cell in Anaphase
10
Telophase (400x) The purple arrow is pointing to a cell in Telophase. Notice how the cell plate is beginning to form between the two nuclei; this is the beginning of Cytokinesis.
