2. WHAT IS HOSA? HOSA Future Health Professionals is the only national student organization that exclusively serves high school and college students in pursuit of a career in the health professions.

3. OUR MISSION The mission of HOSA is to enhance the delivery of compassionate, quality health care by providing opportunities for knowledge, skill and leadership development of all health science education students, therefore, helping the student meet the needs of the health care community.

4. WHAT WE DO PHUHS HOSA competes at regional, state, and national levels in medically related competitions. Competitions vary from CPR to Medical Spelling. All competitive resources are found at HOSA.org

5. HOSA DUES HOSA Dues MUST be in by: September 24 th to your Medical teachers Dues are $55 and cover: Cost of t-shirts National and State fees: $22 Regional fees: $5 Transportation, celebrations, etc.

6. FUNDRAISING As a HOSA member, you must participate in our club’s fundraising activities Chocolate Sales will begin within the next few months There is a mandatory opt-out fee for those who do not wish to sell chocolate ($30)

7. COMPETITIONS Competition signups will begin in October Signups will be held in your medical teacher’s classroom See hosa.org for full competitive guidelines

8. TSHIRTS The HOSA Board is looking for t-shirt designs! Come up with a design and submit it to your medical teachers Due: September 24 th Due: September 24 th
