Reflection – a transformation in which a figure is flipped over a line.
Line of reflection – the line over which a figure is reflected.
Line symmetry – occurs when a figure can be folded so one side is the mirror image of the other side.

4. In a reflection each point and its image are the same distance from the line of reflection so the pre-image and the image are congruent.
