The truths expressed in these slides express the heart of all those movements of revival by which God has restored His Church to new life in the hours of her dryness and need.
5
Then a new entering into the fullness of His Holy Spirit and of His power to do His own work through His people; and a new gathering in of the lost ones to Jesus takes place. Then a new vision of conviction of sin among the saints; a new vision of the cross of Jesus and of redemption takes place; Then a new willingness on man’s part for brokenness, repentance, confession, and restitution takes place; Then a joyful experience of the power of the blood of Jesus to cleanse fully from sin and restore and heal all that sin has lost and broken takes place;
6
I must have a dissatisfaction of the state of the church in general, and of myself in particular – especially of myself! I must be willing for God to begin His work in me first, rather than in the other man. Above all, I must realize that I be first to humble myself at the Cross. Pharisee Sinner I must, moreover be possessed with the holy expectancy that God can and will accept my expression of humility. If I am a Christian leader, the urgency of the matter is intensified many times over.
7
Brokenness The first thing we must learn is that our wills must be broken to His will. To be broken is the beginning of revival. It is painful, it is humiliating, but it is the only way. It is being “Not I, but Christ.” Lord Use My Brokenness CI

Jesus set the example of Brokenness for us Only the vision of the Love that was willing to be broken for us can break us and keep us broken

14
He who was without sin took upon Himself our sins so that we might be free! (II Corinthians 5:21) adultery lies murder deceit Child abuse abortion fornication stealing pride violence anger rape hypocrisy prejudice gossip selfishness homosexuality Lust
15
Brokenness is the beginning of Revival. Revival itself is being absolutely filled to overflowing with the Holy Spirit.
16
Think of your heart as being a container, cup, glass, etc. which you hold out to Jesus. Picture Jesus as bearing a water pot with the Water of Life. As He passes by He looks into your container and if it is clean, He fills it to overflowing. Only one thing prevents Jesus from filling our cup: SIN
17
Think of the most horrible sickness that you can imagine. AIDS Leprosy Infantile Paralysis Muscular Sclerosis ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease) Alzheimer's Cancer Emphysema
18
According to the Bible, the most serious sickness or disease is: SIN Diseases shorten life in the Body – Sin will result in Eternal Death!!
19
Narrow Highway of Holiness If you slide off of the highway, you will slip from light into darkness. You will have to bend to pass through this low door onto the Highway of Holiness Notice the Atoning Blood over the Door
20
Simple A lamb is the simplest of God’s creatures. It exists in helplessness and simplicity. He made Himself as nothing for us! The Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father doing. Jesus is pictured as a Lamb.
21
Shorn Willing to be shorn of His rights. He never resisted. Willing to be shorn of His reputation, and every human liberty that was due Him, just as a lamb is shorn of its wool. He never said, “You can’t treat me like that. Don’t you know that I AM the Son of God?”
22
Silent He was the silent lamb. “As a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so He opened not His mouth.” He never defended Himself, nor explained Himself
23
Spotless Substitute Not only did nothing escape His lips, but there was nothing in His heart but love for those who sent Him to the Cross! He has sacrificed Himself for our sins if we believe Him.
24
The Dove is the emblem of Peace He will only light on a spotless lamb. The dirt of sin quenches the Dove’s peace and He will depart! The Holy Spirit is pictured as a Dove. We can enjoy His peace if we are clean from sin.
26
Revival begins at Home Revival is desperately needed in the church…in the country…in the world; But a revived church with un-revived homes is sheer hypocrisy! Revival life is manifested in fellowship and oneness with those with whom we live. The home is the place before all others where revival must be experienced. God created the home before He created His Church!
27
The Calvary Road is narrow and few there are that travel it! The Calvary Road is the only path to Revival!!
