LIAA Community Center User’s Conference August 10, 2007 Traverse City, MI Leelanau County Community Center (www.leelanau.cc) Issue: Too much time spent providing public data to citizens What to do: Reduce the number of phone calls, faxes, and office visits requesting information on taxes, maps, and parcel information. Reduce repetitive requests: “What is the mailing address for this property?” “What is the total of 2006 summer taxes?” “Are these taxes delinquent?”

Solution: The existing Leelanau County community center would be updated to include more information, and provide access to public data.
