3 Plan an Event Plan your event (date, topic, instructor) When all details are in place submit your Tech Showcase Event Check for your event approval or questions from Campaign Factory Campaign Factory Drive Attendees Your event will receive exposure on www.microsoft.com/learni ng/events www.microsoft.com/learni ng/events Leverage marketing resources provided in the Event-in-a-box and reach out to your customer base to promote your event Event day Give it your best and use this opportunity to upsell your training and certification services After Event Report your final attendance to earn Contribution KPI This presentation will provide tips and tricks for using the Tech Showcase event management tool.

4 Overview Submit a Future Event Close a Future Event

5 Future Event Event occurs in the future You would like your event to be searchable within Microsoft Learning’s event page. Will require closing via the “Close Events” tab after the event has been held. Get access to (Event- in-a-box materials (including HOL and FLC)

6 Enter all your planned event details, fill out all the required fields one by one Complete the web form and click submit. Once your future Event is accepted and approved, your event will be searchable in Microsoft Learning’s event site

7 You can earn up to 50 Contribution KPIs for closed Tech Showcase events Click on the “Close Event” button and enter the required event information. Events MUST be closed and the number of final attendees provided in order to earn KPI points. Note: Contribution KPI points will appear in your KPI reports approx. 6-8 weeks after the event is closed in the Tech Showcase tool. Events held between Aug. 1 and Oct. 31, must be closed by May 17 th to get credit.

8 Two key definitions here to note: 1. “Total number of registrations for this event”= ALL registrations for this event INCLUDING BOTH TECH SHOWCASE AND ALSO PARTNER TOOL REGISTRATIONS 2. “ Total number of attendees for this event” = ALL actual attendees who were at in attendance at this event.

9 Overview Submit a Past Event

10 Past Event An event that you didn’t add as a future event, but you already have delivered If event date is after Nov 1, 2012 you can earn Contribution KPI points No exposure on event marketing site hosted on Microsoft.com

11 Earn Contribution KPI credit for Tech Showcase events that you’ve already delivered and that were not previously registered in the Tech Showcase tool. Complete the web form and submit your past event information. Once a Past Event is registered and accepted, it will be closed automatically. Note: Contribution KPI points will appear in your KPI reports approx. 6-8 weeks after the event is entered into the Tech Showcase tool. Events held between Aug. 1 and Oct. 31, must be closed by May 17 th to get credit.

13 You can Edit your event information by clicking on "Edit Event" button in the "View Events" page, until it has been approved by us. After your event has been approved we will "lock" your event and you can only change information or cancel the event by contacting mslcampaignfactory@support.skillscreator.com mslcampaignfactory@support.skillscreator.com This is to facilitate already registered attendees can be notified about the changes.

14  You can add your own participants to your future event once it has been approved  Your participants are added one at a time  For events that have an event day in the past, the “Add Participants” in disabled, and the “Close Event” is enabled

15  Be aware of the registration report provided to you. You can use this report to communicate with the registrants prior to your event.  If you cancel or change the event please remember to notify your customers and support at: mslcampaignfactory@support.skillscreator.co m mslcampaignfactory@support.skillscreator.co m

18  When you have registrants to your event the “Send Reminder” button will be enabled for you to send reminder email to your registered customers.  You can only send a reminder twice.

19 Two steps to use this functionality 1.Enter reminder description 2.Click “Send Reminder” button to post the reminder to all your registrants

20 Partners can earn Contribution KPI points for Tech Showcase events What you should know: ◦ Points are awarded for both future events that are closed or past events entered. ◦ Future events MUST BE CLOSED and the final number of attendees provided to receive KPI points. ◦ Events held between Aug. 1 and Oct. 31, must be closed by May 17 th to get credit; all other events should be closed ASAP for credit. ◦ Tech Showcase KPI points will appear in the KPI reports approximately 6-8 weeks after the event is entered (past event) or closed (future event) in the Tech Showcase tool. ◦ If your organization is dependent on Tech Showcase event KPIs to be eligible for your annual re-enrollment be sure to enter past events and close all future events at least 6-8 weeks prior to your Organizations enrollment end date (anniversary date). ◦ KPI eligibility is based on 4 complete quarters of data from the last completed quarter. Events that took place in the previous month or in an incomplete quarter prior to your enrollment end date will not be counted for your current re-enrollment period.
