How to draw an Anchor as a Vessel in TRIFLEX ® WINDOWS How to draw an Anchor as a Vessel in TRIFLEX ® WINDOWS 1

www.pipingsolutions.com TRIFLEX ® WINDOWS ANCHOR AS VESSEL 2 ANCHOR DRAWN AS A VESSEL The anchor can be drawn as a vessel in TRIFLEX ® WINDOWS All the input data referred to the vessel are used only for graphical representation No pressure vessel calculation are provided by TRIFLEX® WINDOWS TRIFLEX® WINDOWS calculates the distance between the true anchor and the nozzle location. This distance can be eventually used to calculate the vessel deflection at the nozzle location due to thermal expansion.

www.pipingsolutions.com TRIFLEX ® WINDOWS ANCHOR AS VESSEL 3 To draw an anchor as a vessel it is necessary to check the box “Anchor Drawn as Vessel”

www.pipingsolutions.com TRIFLEX ® WINDOWS ANCHOR AS VESSEL 4 Vertical vessel with a nozzle located on the center of the positive head

www.pipingsolutions.com TRIFLEX ® WINDOWS ANCHOR AS VESSEL 5 Vertical vessel with a nozzle located on the center of the negative head

www.pipingsolutions.com TRIFLEX ® WINDOWS ANCHOR AS VESSEL 6 Vertical vessel with a nozzle located 2 ft from the center of the positive elliptical head at a 0 deg angle measured CCW from +X direction. The diameter of the head is 10 ft. Vertical vessel with a nozzle located 2 ft from the center of the positive elliptical head at a 0 deg angle measured CCW from +X direction. The diameter of the head is 10 ft.

www.pipingsolutions.com TRIFLEX ® WINDOWS ANCHOR AS VESSEL 7 Vertical vessel with a nozzle located 1 ft from the center of the positive elliptical head at 90 deg angle measured CCW from +X direction. The diameter of the head is 10 ft. Vertical vessel with a nozzle located 1 ft from the center of the positive elliptical head at 90 deg angle measured CCW from +X direction. The diameter of the head is 10 ft.

www.pipingsolutions.com TRIFLEX ® WINDOWS ANCHOR AS VESSEL 8 Horizontal vessel with a nozzle located on the center of the positive head

www.pipingsolutions.com TRIFLEX ® WINDOWS ANCHOR AS VESSEL 9 Vertical vessel with a nozzle located on the shell 1000 mm below the center of the vessel.

www.pipingsolutions.com TRIFLEX ® WINDOWS ANCHOR AS VESSEL 10 A skew vessel with a nozzle located on the shell 1000 mm above the center at a 90 deg angle measured CCW from +X direction.

www.pipingsolutions.com TRIFLEX ® WINDOWS ANCHOR AS VESSEL 11 Input data necessary to calculate the location of the true anchor entered in the same manner as the nozzle location The calculated distance between the true anchor and the nozzle location. These distances can be used to calculate the vessel deflection at nozzle location.
