1. ~ ing 動詞的四種拼法 : 1. 動詞後直接加 ing. 如 : fishing, skiing, camping, climbing. 2. 動詞字尾有 silent ”e”( 即 e 不念 ) 時, 先把字尾 e 消去, 再加 ing. 如 : write → writing, hike → hiking, dance → dancing, ride → riding. 3. 單音節或重音在最後音節的動詞, 其母音 ( 指發 音 ) 皆為短母音時, 要重複最後的子音字母, 再加 ing.

2. 如 : swimming, planning, shopping, beginning. 4. 動詞字尾是 “ie” 時, 把 “ie” 改為 y 再加 ing. 如 : lie → lying, die → dying.

3. go~ing 的結構, 有時在 go 和 ing 之間置入相關名詞. 如 : go duck hunting, go mountain climbing, go fruit shopping, go window shopping. ( 指不買東西, 只是在商店外瀏覽的逛街 方式 )
