Reaching around the world, across boundaries … World Perspective Regardless of where a Research Project starts, is studied, or approved – the impact is felt & the benefit is seen worldwide thanks to ASHRAE Members, Chapters, & professional relationships.

Global Research ASHRAE Research makes every attempt to ensure that projects reflect and have value to the entire HVAC&R Community regardless of location. In addition to the community wide projects, more specialized projects are undertaken to address global goals and fill identified regional needs

Research Projects: Global Needs 1504-RP Extension of Standard 55 Clothing Database to include non- western clothing Refrigeration Portable refrigeration using battery, solar, or manual power instead of electricity 1624 – RP Effective energy- efficient school room ventilation for temperate zones Standards Development of country- specific extensions to Standards to meet needs & goals of different countries

Global Research Projects 2014-15 Year Global Research Currently, there are 5 Research Projects 2 Grant-in-Aid Graduate Student Projects 1 Homer Adams Award Recipient Taking place in 7 countries outside of North America Fiscal Commitment: $1.2 million
