Diversity Inclusion of different types of people in a group or organization

Inclusion A relation between two classes that exist when all members of the first are also members of the second. The act or practice of including students with disabilities in regular school classes

Gender Equity Set of actions, attitudes, and assumptions that provide opportunities and create expectations about individuals, regardless of gender. It is integral to and supports race, ethnic, economic, disabilities, and other equity concerns.

AAUW’s Diversity Statement In principle and in practice, AAUW values and seeks a diverse membership. There shall be no barriers to full participation in this organization on the basis of gender, race, creed, age, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, or class.
