AND IF YOU BE UNWILLING TO SERVE THE LORD, CHOOSE THIS DAY WHOM YOU WILL SERVE, WHETHER THE GODS YOUR FATHERS SERVED IN THE REGION BEYOND THE RIVER, OR THE GODS OF THE AMORITES IN WHOSE LAND YOU DWELL; BUT AS FOR ME AND MY HOUSE, WE WILL SERVE THE LORD." (JOSHUA 24:15 RSV) “Choose This Day…”

We All Must Make Choices! Who will I chose for my friends? Will I become a Christian? Where will I go to college? Who will I marry? What will I do for a living? Where will I raise my family?

How To Make A Bad Choice! Think for yourself. (Gen. 13:5-12) Show no regard for the subtlety of sin. (Gen. 13:12; 14:12) Be more concerned about income than outcome. (Gen. 14:11,12; 19:24,25) I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse; therefore choose life, that you and your descendants may live, (Deuteronomy 30:19 RSV)

You Cannot Sow Without Reaping! Do not be deceived; God is not mocked, for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption; but he who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. (Galatians 6:7-8 RSV) Sow your life in such a way that you do not have to pray for crop failure!

Making Wise Choices Do not make impulsive, rash decisions. Do not be indecisive or procrastinate. Apply good sense, reason and logic. Make all choices with God in mind using His standard!  Life is a constant struggle between good and evil, right and wrong, God’s way and the way of the world. "No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon. (Matthew 6:24 RSV) He who is not with me is against me, and he who does not gather with me scatters. (Matthew 12:30 RSV) "No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon. (Matthew 6:24 RSV) He who is not with me is against me, and he who does not gather with me scatters. (Matthew 12:30 RSV)

AND IF YOU BE UNWILLING TO SERVE THE LORD, CHOOSE THIS DAY WHOM YOU WILL SERVE, WHETHER THE GODS YOUR FATHERS SERVED IN THE REGION BEYOND THE RIVER, OR THE GODS OF THE AMORITES IN WHOSE LAND YOU DWELL; BUT AS FOR ME AND MY HOUSE, WE WILL SERVE THE LORD." (JOSHUA 24:15 RSV) What Will Your Choice be?
