17.6.2009 A Healthy and Clean Athlete will Succeed Collaborating Partners The Healthy Athlete programme provides information and know-how on smart coaching and training. –The programme promotes coaching and guidance that will foster the good health and prevents injuries of young athletes and children who take part in sport. –It is part of the Sports and Exercise Safety programme (LiVE) in Finland. –This programme is coordinated by the UKK Institute for Health Promotion Research and implemented in co-operation with Varala Sports Institute. –It has also a close co-operation with Tampere Sports Academy –The programme is funded by the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health –www.terveurheilija.fiwww.terveurheilija.fi

17.6.2009 A Healthy and Clean Athlete will Succeed Collaborating Partners The Clean Win programme promotes clean sport –This joint programme of the Finnish Antidoping Agency (FINADA) and Fazer honours clean athletes and the values of fair play. –The programme invites Finnish sports fans, sporting organizations, friends and relatives of athletes and athletes themselves to get involved in fair play. –www.puhtaastiparas.fiwww.puhtaastiparas.fi

At the info desk –you’ll get information on healthy and clean sport –you can take part in competitions and games –you can fill in the Smart Athlete questionnaire –you can sign a petition on behalf of clean sport –and more

At the info desk –you’ll get information on healthy and clean sport –you can take part in competitions and games –you can fill in the Smart Athlete questionnaire –you can sign a petition on behalf of clean sport –and more

17.6.2009 A Healthy and Clean Athlete will Succeed Information Desk Information desk for clean and healthy sport is open: Mon 20 July 9—12 at Swimming races in the Tampere Swimming Centre Tue 21 July 16—20 at Athletic events at Tampere Stadium Wed 22 July 10—14 at Tennis competitions at Tampere Tennis Centre Thu 23 July 10—14 at Gymnastics, handball and volleyball events at Tampere Exhibition and Sports Centre Fri 24 July 13—17 at Judo events at Tampere Ice Stadium The tour visits to seven of nine sports of the Olympic Festival

17.6.2009 A Healthy and Clean Athlete will Succeed Information Stand Information stand for clean and healthy sport: Information available during the whole Olympic Festival week at OLV in Konetalo’s lobby. (no personnel) The stand is located in the same premises where are available athletes’ guided leisure time activities. There is information on healthy training, clean sports and Tampere Sports Academy On Wed 22 July at 17-19 there are also two students with the Smart Athlete questionnaire and the fitball slalom game presentation and try out at the stand.

17.6.2009 A Healthy and Clean Athlete will Succeed Poster Exhibition Poster exhibition on smart sports in Finland Exhibition introduces e.g. healthy training, clean sport, combining sports and education and the Finnish coach education system. There are 11 exhibitors representing Finnish educational and research institutes and sports federations. Exhibition is open during the whole Olympic Festival week at OLV in Tietotalo’s lobby. Exhibition is in the same building where are the meeting rooms for teams’ use.

17.6.2009 A Healthy and Clean Athlete will Succeed Seminar Seminar on smart and clean training in Finland The seminar is targeted to team managers, coaches, physicians, information officers and VIP’s. Presentations by the UKK Institute for Health Promotion Research, Varala Sports Institute and the Finnish Antidoping Agency (FINADA). The seminar was held on Mon 20 July at 19-20.15 at OLV in Festia Lecture Hall. It is in the same building where the technical meetings are held.
