In our communities We will open up our training to all young people through the Tesco Youth Academy. Working with schools and mobilising our colleagues we will help young people develop key skills that will prepare them for work, no matter what career they want to pursue. At Tesco Wherever we operate we offer industry leading entry programmes, and will provide every young person who works for us with personalised leadership training, as well as putting the voice of young people at the heart of Tesco through our Young People’s Panels. 7 Launch outcomes 259 young people have taken part so far 245 young people completed the programme 219 offered jobs at Tesco

8 Launch outcomes “We welcome this new programme and Tesco’s commitment to supporting young people into work. Many of our members have experienced challenges getting into the job market and we know that young people find it particularly hard to break the cycle of 'no experience - no job, no job - no experience'. 11 Positive 2 Work outcomes 168 young people have taken part in Positive 2 Work 51% are now in employment or full time training. 94% of the participants stated that the programme gave them new job skills 90% felt that the programme would help them in identifying suitable job opportunities 80% would recommend the course to others.
