3 A Changing World A Weather-Ready Nation will require more integrated environmental services from the NWS – Climate, weather, and other NOAA sciences must be linked – Extreme environmental events increasing in frequency and intensity – Coastal population growth and climate change increase community vulnerability Partners want to know what we know – Probabilities, accuracy, timeliness, and accessibility 3 Making the extraordinary ordinary Advancements in S&T will give us new capabilities to better serve our partners and the Weather Enterprise
