15 October 2000JMM2 A 3GPP specification is based on the standard template (available from http://www.3gpp.org/information). It consists of the following basic elements:http://www.3gpp.org/information Cover page – number, title, administrative information Second page – more administrative information Third page – table of contents Fourth page – Foreword (and Introduction, if any) Body of the document Change history – showing evolution of the spec via CRs

12
15 October 2000JMM12 The ETSI deliverable is ready for publication. It will appear on the ETSI publications area of the ETSI web site: http://www.etsi.org for free download.http://www.etsi.org It will also appear in the subscription-based ETSI Document System (CD-ROM and on-line update).

15 October 2000JMM13 Q: How soon after the 3GPP TS becoming available is the ETSI deliverable ready? A: For a spec which forms part of a Release which is already “frozen”, the ETSI TS is published straight away. The whole process is normally completed about six weeks after the end of the TSG SA meeting at which the 3GPP spec was approved. ETSI deliverables are not produced for 3GPP specs until the Release as a whole is frozen. Want to know more about Release plans? Visit the project management pages of the 3GPP web site.
