Device Design Think of a ride at Six Flags: a marble is hit by a wooden spoon that rolls down a curved track. The marble is then shot into a funnel, and it then rolls down another track to hit a set of dominoes which hits a long stick. The stick falls and raises the banner and starts the next team’s project.

Our first issue was getting the marble to launch off the track. This was solved by using a bottle cap to tap the marble down the track. Getting the marble to shoot into the funnel was one more issue. This was solved by adjusting the location of the funnel. Another issue was finding a way to apply enough force to the stick by the dominoes so the stick falls over. This was solved by replacing the last domino with a heavier magnet. From this project, we utilized good teamwork and fair sharing of the tasks required.
