Slope Intercept Form 5-4-2
2
Y intercept The y-intercept is the point where a line crosses the y axis. At this point the value of x is 0. To find the y-intercept, plug 0 in for x in the linear equation and solve for y. y=3x-6 (0, -6)
3
X intercept The x-intercept is the point where a line crosses the x axis. At this point the value of y is 0. To find the x-intercept, plug 0 in for y in the linear equation and solve for y. y=3x-6 (2, 0)
4
Slope y=3x-6 (2, 0) and (0, -6)
5
Slope Intercept Form y=mx + b m is slope b is the y intercept y=3x-6 The slope is 3 The y intercept is -6 Plot (0, -6) then count slope
