Finding Slope from… A graph An equation Essential Question: Describe the two parts of a linear equation in terms of y intercept and slope.
2
How do I find slope of a graph? 1. Find the first perfect point. 2. Find the second perfect point. 3. Count the rise/run… That’s the slope. Essential Question: Describe the two parts of a linear equation in terms of y intercept and slope.
3
Find Slope from Graph Rise 2 Run 1 Essential Question: Describe the two parts of a linear equation in terms of y intercept and slope.

Slope Intercept Form… SAY IT The Slope Intercept Form is y = mx + b. b is the y intercept, where the line crosses over the y axis of the graph. m is the slope of the line, which means if I write m as a fraction, it will give me the rise over the run. Essential Question: Describe the two parts of a linear equation in terms of y intercept and slope.
