Steps to follow when graphing using the slope and y-int.: 1. Equation must be in slope-intercept form y = mx + b 2. Determine the slope (m=?) and y-int. (b=?) 3. Plot the y-int. on the coordinate plane 4. Use the slope to plot other points, start at y-int. - Rise – 1 st always go up the number of units of the numerator - Run – 2 nd left (- slope) or right (+ slope) the number of units of the denominator 5. Connect the points with a line
