How can educators collect feedback? Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education 7 603 CMR 35.07. Evidence used in educator evaluation shall include: Student feedback collected by the district starting in 2013–14* Staff feedback (with respect to administrators) collected by the district, starting in 2013–14* * Amended to 2014-15 Student / Staff Feedback

Using Authentic Feedback How can an educator collect and make use of authentic, meaningful feedback? Meet Ruth Freedman, 4 th Grade Teacher from Westford Public Schools, who describes her established practice of gathering feedback from her students at the end of each year. Research shows Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education 12 Student perception data, combined with observations and multiple measures of student achievement, results in: (a) a stronger predictor of educator impact on student learning, (b) diagnostic feedback an educator can use to improve, and (c) a more reliable picture of educator effectiveness.
