3 Fire Prevention All buildings should be equipped with fire extinguishers Working smoke detectors All flammable materials are kept away from heat and other possible fire starters Keeping your area clutter free Fire exits are clearly labeled and emergency plan posted

4 Cleaners All should be clearly labeled Have a MSDS sheet When using where proper PPE Gloves Masks Eye Protection

5 Storing Cleaners Chemicals and cleaning products should be placed in a isolated area When storing them keep them away from Heat Food storage Food prep area Children should not have open access Child locks Warning Signs

6 Slips and Trips All areas that have a potential of becoming wet should have a slip resistant rug or other traction Kitchens Entry Ways Bathrooms

7 Exits Should be clearly labeled Accessible Should not have decorations hanging (fire hazard) Hall ways and walk ways leading to the door should not have clutter

8 Working with food Before starting your meal or snack 1. Wipe down with hot soapy water or properly diluted bleach water 2. Make sure all of your cook wear has been properly sanitized 3. Use gloves during prep and wash before and after touching food When done disinfect your work area. EVERY TIME- Food poisoning is no fun!
